I plan to work on re-learning how to use PHP to save stuff on the server, and how to use the MySql database today. I won’t be able to tell you any more about that till I have done that.

Wow! I am very impressed with your message system. You have just learned and used the same tools I want to learn and use today.

I would like to modify it, or build my own so that:

There is only one web page. It will contain a list of prior messages and a box to submit message. When a message is submitted several things will happen:

• The message will be added to the list of prior messages.
• The name and submit boxes on the screen will be reset for the next message.

That way when a person enters the page they will see all the messages and have the ability to add a new one.

Eventually I/we want to have the following features:

• Show the date and time each message was submitted
• Put the messages in a scrollable list (for when it exceeds the size of the web page ) list with the most recent messages at the top
• Keep the messages stored in a MySql database.
